Fortune FriYay

Fabulous Friday outing with the family resulted in a big dose of reality for MaMa LaLa. Time is the ultimate resource lately. It is more valuable than money to me at this point. Trying to get  projects coordinated, flights scheduled, examinations required for flights, the list is infinite. There is simply, ALWAYS, too much to do and take care of.  I thought as the kids grew, taking care of themselves that I would have time to pursue my own activities. Lunch with the family spilled the beans and let the cat out of the bag on what the universe has in store for a BUZZY busy mom-first-creator-later.

With so many projects and ideas spinning at all times in this sweet lil ol head of mine. It took the most innocent of signs to set me straight.  The Wonton Food Company at has been selling fortune cookies to Chinese and Asian restaurants for decades. Seems that all the local proprietors use them with their menu. The entertainment value of the tiny fortune cookie in our home is priceless. Many a conversation and joke circle has gone round and round with laughter at how directly pinpointed the advice could gravitate to the exact person at our meal that needed to hear it.  The above fortune fell into my hands this fine Friday. “A schedule defends from chaos and whim.”

Fortune Cookie

I bowed my head in submission upon reading this and the table erupted with laughter once I revealed its wisdom.  How enchantedly the universe instructs its children. Sitting in the sting of the correction, the day continued on. I mulled over how I was to actually use this information and set out my days on paper when I didn’t even know the next time I would be sitting down. Next best decision, sleep on it, since the days full activities had finally come to a close.

Saturday Seconds

Being the frugal and money minded individual that my parents raised me to be, the next day's sustenance was leftovers-you guessed it-chinese food. The advice, still ripe and time to fill my soul with more food for thought, I let the universe tell me more about how this should be conducted.  No good news here. It looked to me like the chaotic schedule was about to break wide open. “You will have many important meetings, visits, and change encounters.” This sounds like a lot of fun, BUT “where do I find the time Mr Fortune Teller” crying out to the cosmos.

These lovely fortunes were weighing on my conscience for a week. Trying to see how to fit their knowledge and wisdom into what was already crammed full. It's been painfully obvious to me lately how valuable my time is becoming. My personal projects are growing expansively. That means success, that means they are working towards what we wanted to accomplish. Blogs are growing, Print on demand shops are needing new designs uploaded. Book ideas are bouncing off the walls to be written. YouTube channels are breathing down the hairs of the nape to get busy uploading. Everything is moving along and growing. That is a fabulous accomplishment, If you are enjoying the process!

How did the Wonton Food Company know I needed to stop and breathe?  Nonetheless, I appreciate their humorous direction. And as always, we played the lucky numbers. Not on lotto this week but on Yotta Savings. You can learn about them here. {This is an affiliate link which rewards the new user and myself, if you choose to use it. Just sign up with code LISA1} Well my Yotta loved the new lucky numbers and i won .62¢ this week. YAY!.  So we saved the lucky numbers in our favorites to use every week.

How this resolved anything is beyond me, however, on a night late at work while waiting for my co-workers to finish up an idea struck. It's been a very long time since I've posted on The Tender Two. We had exchanged letters and phone calls, etc, Ruby and I, but I didn’t have any new content batched and ready to post. I have been working very hard on the backside of TTT to get the pages to load faster, and set up analytics and AdSense, but have fallen behind on actually writing content. With everything going on, I didn’t know if I would ever get caught up.

These two fortunes reminded me of a couple of our early posts with fortunes. These reminders sparked the idea of going through my genie in a bottle collection of fortunes and using them as writing prompts. Hoping to see how this works out. The idea is to create a tale of a random fortune and by telling everyone there would be some accountability. So if this idea is appealing to anyone, drop a comment below, let us know how it sits with you. Let us know if we got it right or wrong? We would love to hear from you!

Also, as The Tender Two is part of the #OneLoveWorld Family Network of Mobile Media, We are thinking about starting a newsletter to showcase projects that Ruby, LaLa, and all of the family are working on in the digital world. Let us know if that’s something you’d like to see too!

Hope you like the Fortune FriYay series and hope to see you next month on Friday with a new tale.  See you then.

Oh and here are the lucky numbers from the other side of the fortunes.
